Cubs game.. security?

askguys

I am going to cubs game tonight. Do you know if they allow big cameras? I am planning on taking an SLR with 2 lenses and a couple of other accessories. Please reply ASAP

Answer
You won't have any problems. I've taken multiple cameras to multiple ballparks (including Wrigley) with no problems.

What is a low cost security camera?

Nina

I am looking for a way to have a security camera pointing at our front yard. We've been having some problems. What works best and is low cost? Video camera, game cam? It needs to record video or images, day/night. I can run power or network cable to the location. Does not need to be wireless. Hooking up to computer/home network would be nice. The most important thing is low cost, possible adding more cameras later.

Answer
As described, you can consider buying a DVR,which support up to 32 security cameras for some type.
And as I know, Zmodo is an inexpensive security camera brand, this is its online store, you can have a look

Answer
1. Dont get a laptop for gaming. When you get tired of having a laptop for gaming and the urge to actually learn something about computers (and not be an alienware dweeb), a laptop is a total fail. upgrades are a pain and way expensive.

2. Dont get an alienware. They are total rip-offs. for desktops at least. they sell nice laptops. Get a pro tech to build you a nice desktop you can game one at highest settings. a nice $1000 desktop built right can handle any game you throw at it. if you want to future proof it, make sure you get a motherboard that supports SLI (nVidia) or Crossfire (ATI/AMD).

3. Dont get McAfee. its shit a PoS virus protection. I have tried (really, i really tested anti-virus programs to protect myself) many many anti-virus programs. from BitDefender to Norton to McAfee to Avast (and many more). the best one habds down is Sunbelt Vipre Anti-Virus. its kicks so much booty.

4. Make sure you get windows 7 ultimate 64-bit.

5. the processor in that is ok, but the whole "Turbo Boost" is for noobs. its more like crappy overclocking. i dont trust it.

I can keep going and going. but i am just saying. stop drooling over alienware. (in the computer tech forums, its for serious noobs and posers haha)

get a tech to build you a nice system and ask him if you can watch him (or her, youd be surprised, women have something to prove!), build it and give an explanation of what you are doing. I do this to my younger bros.

just dont touch the alienware unless you want a seriously mean laptop. but if you want to do some real gaming, and really be a hardcore gamer (we dont just play games), get a desktop.

EDIT: you can thumbs me down all you want, but what i say is true.

I need an outdoor security camera system, capable of shooting in total darkness, that can...?

...record from 50 ft. away.
I need to be able to record a neighbor trespassing and scattering rubbish on my property, but I live over 1/4 mile from their house. AC power is available at a light pole I have but batteries would work also. Any recommendations would be helpful. Thanks.

Answer
Hunters set up cameras in the areas they want to hunt, to see how much game is there. These digital cameras are battery powered, and use motion detectors to trigger the pictures. Some have infrared, so they can't be seen when they take the picture. They are built to be outside in the rain and sun. Put it in a hidden place if possible, because they can get stolen.

What if i am told to turn on my laptop with a broken screen in security?

Liam

I am flying to another state tomorrow, and im bringing a laptop with a cracked screen. (When turned on, the screen has lots of random colors and black lines and you cannot see what should be on screen) What will security do if i am told to turn it on, but they can't see the OS because the screen is messed up?
Also, how likely is it they will tell me to turn it on?

Answer
The security officers will not tell you to turn the machine on. Just place the laptop in a bin by itself with nothing on top or underneath and send it through the x-ray. The cracked screen may or may not flag it for further inspection. But this is doubtful.

From http://www.tsa.gov ("Can I Bring My.." search tool.)
---
Search Results For: laptop

Check or Carry-on

Please carefully pack your electronics items, making sure all cords are wrapped and any DVDs, CDs, or cassettes are removed from their devices. While you can pack expensive, fragile electronics items in checked or carry-on bags, we recommend packing them in your carry-on.

Laptop computers, full-size video game consoles, CPAP machines, full-size DVD players, and video cameras that use video cassettes must be removed from their carrying cases and submitted separately for x-ray screening. Small and portable electronic items (smart phones, tablets, portable games, etc.) do not need to be removed from their carrying cases or carry on bags.

For items you wish to carry-on, you should check with the airline to ensure that the item will fit in the overhead bin or underneath the seat of the airplane.

Even if an item is generally permitted, it may be subject to additional screening or not allowed through the checkpoint if it triggers an alarm during the screening process, appears to have been tampered with, or poses other security concerns. The final decision rests with TSA on whether to allow any items on the plane.

What charges can you face for running butt naked across a football field during a game?

Tyler

I'm thinking of running butt naked across the field of a college football game and would like to know how much trouble I'd be in.

Answer
Where you are makes a big difference. In most places it is not indecent exposure as many people think. Some lewd behavior or intent would be required for that. Many places have public nudity laws which are less severe than indecent exposure, and there are a few places that have no nudity law.

However that does not mean it is a good idea as there are other laws that can apply. I worked at a soccer game where a girl tried to streak across the field to advertise a web site. When she went over the rail, security caught her before she touched the ground and she was charged with trespassing. She ended up in a holding cell, and since she didn't make it on camera, didn't get paid so her legal fees were out of pocket. She didn't look very happy

I'm going to a concert soon at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. This is what the website said about cameras, "Still cameras (non-professional) are allowed at sporting events, including Atlanta Hawks and Atlanta Dream games. Professional cameras and any audio and video recording devices are prohibited at all events." and I have a Canon Rebel T3. Am I allowed to bring this camera to the arena, or a I not? HELP PLEASE!

Answer
As Crim previously stated, the T3 is not a professional camera, but security guards generally classify any big looking camera as "professional." They might even consider a Powershot a professional model... Just take a little point & shoot or use your cell phone

what is difference between infrared digital and digital that flashes?

Epic

By this, I mean aside from needing to remove the Laptop, I myself will normally be carrying a camera, Nintendo DS, and their respective chargers and extra batteries along. Would i need to take out EVERY electronic and its charger? or just remove the Laptop from the bag and leave everything else?

Answer
There are 3 things that you must remove:
- laptop (not the charger, not the portable hard drive, not the game boy, not the mp3 player, not the digital camera, not the video camera - just the laptop)
- CPAP machines (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure - for treatment of sleep apnea)
- The 1 qt zip lock bag in to which you have placed your liquid, gel and paste items

If the screeners see anything in the x-ray image of the bag that they want to take a closer look at, they will open it up to look.

What is the best computer for video editing, but also same gaming?

I want to buy a computer that will be primarily used for video editing with Adobe Creative Suite 4 Production Premium. However, I also enjoy gaming. I want it to have tons of memory (really really fast performance) and hard-drive (at least 600 GB hard drive). What computer would be best for me and with what specs? Mac or PC? Desktop or Laptop? etc..... thanks for any info you can provide!

Answer
PC Desktop.. More performance for your money, more support and the following...

PC=Variety of specs, options, quality, prices, vendors, support
Mac=One vendor, limited options, still more expensive. Look below for more information..

Today, Macs use a subset of PC hardware. Why spend extra to get the same CPU chips, graphics cards and OS X isn't as secure as you think..

Don't believe the lies that Macs are better than PCs at graphics/animation.. Dreamworks Animation http://www.dreamworksanimation.com/ under studio click on Technology of Animation, an independent film maker I know uses PCs, a graphic artist I used to know uses PCs also.

A number of PCs can also run OS X (Mac OS) http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=os+x+on+pc&btnG=Google+Search&aq=0&oq=os+x+on+ as well just that Apple makes it illegal in order to get Market share.. The reason why Mac can run native Windows is because it is using a subset of PC hardware,

If you decide to buy a Mac for running Windows, you will still have to get the same virus/spyware protection, and run into the same issues as a regular PC.

Now is a Mac worth buying for OS X?

I say: NO... for the following reasons...

ADVANTAGES WINDOWS :
Aprox 90% of the market is Windows and most PCs have windows already pre-installed.
1) Some websites require Internet Explorer, to run IE on Mac you really get ies4osx which is the Windows version of IE running really buggy and illegal if you don't have a legitimate copy of Windows.
2) Supports devices (printers and other things you hook into the computer).
3) More business software/games
4) Want the dock on OS X (Mac)? google/yahoo rocketdock, objectdoc.
5) Used by businesses.

ADVANTAGES LINUX :
1) FREE (most versions are)
2) Install software by eitjher 1) Synaptic Package Manager, 2) Add/Remove 3) Opening a .deb or .rpm file (depending on distribution)
2) Like the Mac OS X effects? go yahoo/google COMPIZ FUSION which can do any cool effect a Mac can do and many ore....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4Fbk52Mk1w
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3gkX9HDfEE (there is no flickering when you use it like on the video, not sure why the person has the flicker)
3) Mac OS X Doc? google/yahoo Avant Window Navigator.Cairo Dock, http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3rf5q_cairo-dock-mac-os-x-leopard-dock-on_tech
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p0hzi22g2DE
4) It is FASTERr/MORE SECURE to surf on the internet
5) Some Windows programs work with Wnehq/Crossover (also avail on Mac, but why pay $$$)

SECURITY
Mac OS X was hacked in 2006 less than 30 minutes, and within 2 minutes in a contest in 2008, and within 10 seconds in 2009. In 2008, Linux and Vista were not hacked until another day when restrictions were lowered. Vista was next, and then Linux. In 2009 Windows 7 fell shortly after the Mac but Linux was unscathed.
Macs are standardized with Cameras, if your Mac gets hacked, the hacker can turn on your camera with more ease.
Please Note: All OS's have vulnerabilities.

VIRUSES
Mac OS X has viruses (and significantly on the rise), a friend of mine has a virused Mac. As more users use Macs, more viruses will come out for it. Especially when users think "they are safe".

QUALITY/PROBLEMS
Contrary to belief, Macs are not better quality. Apple also has been changing suppliers to try to "lower the price" and thus lowering quality. Even with the lower prices, Macs still cost more, they spend a higher percent of budget trying to make it look pretty, and marketing.

Sample of problems: Overheating Macbooks, OS X- not responding to keyboard, some units with 16bit screens, etc. Apple statistics are misleading since Mac users with problem machines are more likely to go out and buy a new computer than PC users. Apple is lowering prices which means you can expect lower quality than in the past. Apple had switched the manufacturers producing parts. OS X also has problems slowing down.

Repairs are more expensive than PCs since the IMac, Mac Mini are compact units, and Apple charges a premium for their services. Some repairs can be done by another repair service but the compact design of the computer causes problems.
With an IMac, if the problem is with the monitor, the whole computer would have to be brought in.
IMac and Mac mini lack expansion.

PRICE
A similar equipped PC is much cheaper to purchase than Mac. Lets use Dell (but you can compare with another PC Brand if you like)

PLEASE NOTE: I compare Apple Mac's vs Dells best deal. If you really want an all-in one the Dell all-in-one has more ram, wireless keyboard and mouse and equivalent to $400 for free making the Imac still more expensive when you matching specs. Personally I don't think the All-in-Ones are a good choice, and consider them overpriced, lack expandability and repairs both more expensive and require the entire computer.

PS: Apple knows that they need to make Macintosh look different than PC so all Macs except the Mac Pro will not have a tower option. Apple's low end lacks expandability but it makes the Mac "look different", if Mac had a tower for low-end, more people would realize the similarities between the two.

What is the best computer for video editing, but also same gaming?

best security game camera on ... Click Adventure | Indie Game Reviewer - The Best New Indie Video Games
best security game camera image

2) Like the Mac OS X effects? go yahoo/google COMPIZ FUSION which can do any cool effect a Mac can do and many ore....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3gkX9HDfEE (there is no flickering when you use it like on the video, not sure why the person has the flicker)

How to detect someone put a hidden camera and Listener?

Dragonman

Is anyone know how to detect or any tool can detect a hidden camera or hidden listener place in your house?

Answer
Spying on someone. It's illegal even if you are working for the government and/or its employee conducts any kind of unauthorized and/or authorize by her/his superior without any clarification and/or without probable cause the subject, in terms of the one who you want to tail or want to invade her/his private life, with or without her/his approval and/or prior knowledge. Any form/s of invading/invasion of privacy one life well being is/are unethical, unless you do have enough and/or significant evidence the subject is posed a danger to society and/or national security. Whichever ways you like to look at it.

Yeh, it's still illegal no matter what per constitutional bill of rights revised or not Everyone is entitled to her/his privacy. Privacy acts and laws is/are served to protect such unlawful act. Anyone is practicing such act subject to fine, discharge from service, imprisonment. Ear dropping or big brother watching without a person knowledge and/or approval is considered unlawful. With a good lawyers team, you will lose the case under any court or jurisdiction or level of court, local, state or federal if the plaintiff decides to file a lawsuit on your behinds. It is a high crime with severe punishment. Don't play the game you know you will lose in court. Even top notch US officials don't dare to apply such act, the chance they will lose in a civil's lawsuit is greater than its worth............!

I have not flown on a plan sense before 9/11. What are the new polices for walk on items like laptop computers or video cameras?

Answer
About 500,000 people take laptops on planes every day (actually, that is probably a low estimate). Anyway - no problems with laptops, cameras, MP3 players of any sort, video cameras, personal game players, personal DVD players. GPS units .... and so on.

When you get to the security screening, take your laptop out of its case or your bag or where ever it is, and put it into one of the plastic bins - all by itself - and push it into the x-ray machine. REMEMBER to pick it up at the other end (amazingly, some people forget!!).

ALL electronic devices must be turned off during takeoff until the cabin crew says it is OK to turn them on. They will also announce when you must turn them off during the approach to your destination. If your cell phone is also an MP3 player and you want to use it during the flight, make sure you switch the phone to "airplane" mode so it will not send out signals searching for a cell tower. Likewise, if you want to use your laptop, turn off any wi-fi capability.

And, in case you were wondering - the x-ray machine does not damage any electronics, and the TSA people do not care if you have illegal software or downloaded music and videos on any electronic item - they are looking out for the security of the plane, not anything on your hard drive.

Have a good flight.

Can i bring camera to concert at Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City?

Asiko

Are you allowed to use camera there?

Answer
That will depend on who you are going to see. Some artists ban any camera that they might deem "professional" (high resolution pictures). Others don't care. It's really up to the performer. On the casino gaming floor itself is an issue. Most casinos ban cameras for a variety of reasons, most of them revolve around security and cheating.
