I was just wondering if anyone knew a place online where they sell the tiniest video camera in the world or one of the tiniest. I need this camera for security purposes, please make sure it is under $300, thanx for your help!

Answer
Try this site: www.scdlink.com They have tons of security stuff. Keep in mind this- the smaller the camera, and the higher the resolution you want, the more the camera costs. This has to do with number of CCDs (Charged Coupling Devices) installed in the camera's digital guts.

Are security camera recordings archived? Can people go back and look at security footage to the exact moment t?

Q. Are security camera recordings archived?
Can people go back and look at security footage to the exact moment two years after the event, for example?

Answer
Yes, but usually only 24 hours.

If they Had the tape/disk/drive, Sure. It is all time/date stamped.

Two years, usually not. It is often held only 24 hours. Varies by individual policty, but generally one day.Two years would be a Pile of disks or tape. It is usually reviewed daily, then only kept if a report had been made of a robbery or something on that shift. If not, it is recorded over. So, if there was a crime committed, it would be held, and, subpoenaed. Then it would be in police evicence, not the place it was recorded in. It could then, in that case, be held for a couple years, depends. After the case, it would be returned and taped over.

EDIT: Most cameras now record to disk or flash drive. They can review yesterday's while it is recording today's.They don't hold a lot of video tape, like in the '70's. They record every 5 seconds or so to save media, too. Video tape didn't do that.
