best home security camera review image
sendmymail
I need something that will get a clear picture of a face 30 to 60 feet from my home. There are some kids in the neighborhood vandalizing cars. I would like to catch them if they vandalize my car, its at night that they come around so I don't care if its color or black and white as long as I can get a clear picture of the faces of these guys. I only have a budget of $500- $800 Max.
Answer
go to CNET.com or CONSUMER REPORTS.COM
I don't use one, but both those sites have tested them and give great reviews, and also the prices.

What's a good LOW LIGHT security camera for home surveillance?
Dcntamcn
Something below 0.01 lux that will pick up nighttime activity in my yard without the limitation of IR illumination. A "star light" camera would be ideal but beyond my limit of $250. Anyone tried and approved a good one?
Answer
I would go with Zmodo 8CH camera since your budget is $250. It is for low light.

It comes with 1 tb harddrive and the video format is H.264 Compression so it has very long recording time. Very good reviews.
