How long do they keep the security camera films on in the Toyota services department?

On November 12, I went to have a car maintenance at the Toyota place and then had my car washed later on. After I left and got home, I just noticed that the brackets(?) that are attached to the roof of my car, a piece of it came off. I did't make this inquiry sooner. So I know this will be harder for having the Toyota location pay me back for that missing piece. I've called and called them and my questions are unanswered.

So. I was wondering if anyone knew for the security cameras in a Toyota lot, how long they keep those films for? I asked and they said "I don't know, maybe 14 days before they tape over it again".

It depends on the dealer. Some keep them for a day or two and others months.

I agree with Harry though. It's probably in the carwash drain.

I have an infrared security camera that is having issues with "seeing" through a window after dark. Would installing a separate infrared light outside the window fix this or would it be a waste of money?

More than likely, it would be a waste of money.

With security cameras, indoor cameras take care of the inside and outdoor camera, well... are for the outside. If your worried about the camera being outside, put it in a vandal proof housing in a discrete location.
