I'm buying a security camera!?

Ineedsomeh

I'm gonna buy a securitycamera so that I can see what happens in my flat when I'm not there. I wanna be able to watch the video Image from the web. I have a wireless network/broadband connection and the system I'm thinkin of bying has a receiver that can be connected to a TV/VCR/DVR or even GPS. But how do I track the signal from the reciever to my network so I can see the signal wherever I may be at the time?
If you have a security system you want to be able to see what happens att all time. Not just when you're only ten feet away. Right?

Suggestions?

All the best/ M

Answer
I would buy a cheap network camera with WIFI.

For example AXIS 207W. Then connect camera to your wireless network and run a recording software on PC (at home or at remote place for higher security).

Security Camera - Which one to buy?

I want to put a security camera on my front porch so that I can see who is knocking before going to my door. I just want something simple. It doesn't have to record on to a DVD or DVR or anything like that. I just want to hook it up to an old televison set so that I can see who's at the door.
And I don't want to have to take the camera down to recharge it either so wireless is probably out. I just want to put it out on the porch and not have to ever fuddle with it again.

Answer
There are plenty of cameras that will accomplish this for you. You just want to make sure that you purchase a hardwired camera and that the old tv you're using can actually pick up enough quality to determine who is knocking at the door. Check out the link below for a list of outdoor security cameras. Many of them include the cable and power source.
