best security camera program image

I have a security camera in my studio but I want to record the video to a computer hard drive instead of a stupid 6 hour VHS tape. How would I go about doing this? The camera provides an A/V type output cord. (red and yellow) Please help me. Thanks.

well if it is recording to tape it is an analog camera and not digital, therefore you will have to get a convertor in order to get the footage to a computer. you will also need a video editing/capturing program. and if you are recording that many hours, you will need a serious external hard drive to store it all on!

My bicycle is stolen and my building's security camera caught the man who stole it. I wanna cut the scene and sent it to the police station, but i don't know how to do it. I have the video registrator (if it's called so) and i have all the connectors. Please answer FAST.
