I have roommates and have noticed things have been missing from my room. I want a small wifi security camera that is motion activated and sends a signal to my iphone so i can watch the video from work. Does this kind of tech exist?
Answer
Absolutely it exists. D-Link makes some great, easy-to-setup wireless security cameras that have motion detection and you can view the video feed from your iPhone.

Hope this helps and hopefully you can get peace of mind or at least new roommates. :)

Is there an outdoor security camera you can see from your iphone without recording?

This is for my folks place - they don't have internet or computers.
Is it possible to just install a motion detector camera and check my iphone once in a while to see what ever goes on outside?
They are having quite a number of thefts outside their place day and night.
Thanks

The Foscam IP cameras are good. They have a programmable motion detector alarm, and can be viewed by iPhone and Android. I have a few, they are reliable.
