It's possible. But having a security camera running 24/7 with video and audio takes mass amounts of storage since the data isn't compressed.

There are tons of good cameras, but then you went and added CHEAP into the mix. LOL

I found some at a "Hamfest" which were about the size of a penney and needed even a smaller opening to allow them to see out. If you really need audio, that is a different issue entirely. The "inteli spy" comes close to what you asked http://www.intelspy.com/24ghzmiwiauc.html small, cheap, with microphones. You will have to convert the output to use it with your laptop but that isn't hard to do.
